  1. In the past, I have enjoyed Barbara Taylor Bradford s novels TREACHEROUS left me wanting her former concise formation of character and less sleazy scenes Continually backtracking to make sure the reader gets the picture is rather denigrating to the reader Repeating the same argument between two characters to establish their roles seemed to me redundant I tired of the naked lady on the swing, the cabin hormones, and the evil prostitute procurer All in all, I had to push to finish it Not what I ex [...]

  2. Wow I can t say enough about this book Barbara Taylor Bradford has kept my interest from page 1 till the very last page I cannot believe that I read this entire book in one day I couldn t even take time out for lunch it was such an exciting book from start to finish.

  3. I ve been a Barbara Taylor Bradford fan for years years While I ve enjoyed the majority of her work, this novella left a lot out The plot took awhile to get going, the action was cut off, leaving a lot to the imagination The ending, I felt, didn t do the story justice in tying up all the lose strings.I did love the love story between Fiona Luke That aspect was emerging I loved their personalities the connection they had I enjoyed how they came together.

  4. Awful, stupid story I only kept reading thinking it would get better but only got WORSE and WORSE Terrible story.

  5. Well, it was a love story about one gal so jealous of someone because she got the man and she got nothing Well, this has been happening since Adam and Eve These were Best Friends but apparently NOT A cute story with some scary times but wait until the end That gets you.

  6. One expects a lot from an author like BTB, and sadly this little novel didn t quite deliver The characters were under developed and the plot contrived and implausible For one thing, there is no way the lead male character comes out of their scrape unscathed At least give hi e a facial scar This book could have benefitted from another 50 pages The best part about it was that it was short I read it in under two hours.

  7. A well written short story It s about best friends Their story includes sacrifice and betrayal Bradford keeps the suspense going till the end of the book I usually don t like chick stories but this book is not in the chick lit genre.

  8. I thoroughly enjoyed it I couldn t put it down, everything in my daily routine came to a standstill It reminded me of the suspense in WOMEN OF SUBSTANCE Just too short.

  9. I hadn t read a Barbara Taylor Bradford book for a long time and then read Cavendon Hall which I loved I bought Treacherous expecting a similar standard I was very disappointed I thought the book would be the usual long exciting read but it wasn t Treacherous is a Novella For me it is too short and I didn t like the story I was surprised to find suddenly that I was already 79% through the book and I started it only this morning I was expecting It ended too quickly, not explaining how everyone ma [...]
