  1. This book can be half the length if the author focused on quality over quantity A lot of the writing is fluff and pointless wordiness just to fill the pages and increase page count You need to wade through the pointless lists, one sided questions, and the fluff to get to the actual point Some of the advice is just plain ridiculous, such as listing going to the store to pick up diapers as a con when compared to cloth diapers A lot of the advice is also contradictory which points to lack of resear [...]

  2. This ia unbelievable Look at the pictures The pages are not only uneven, but the pages are cut off at the bottom This is a complete knock off and poor quality knock off at that

  3. We have a newborn child and the section in this book on dealing with a fussy baby was a game changer I was out of my mind trying to figure out how to soothe my baby to sleep and on the verge of tears from sleepless nights when I read the tip about putting on a sound machine to lull her to sleep since the womb is loud and baby is used to a louder world than you d think The second I flipped a sound machine on she stopped crying and went to sleep Even providing just one restful night and I would gi [...]

  4. The content of this book is very informative and exactly what I was looking for It relied on medical facts and experiences which helps me get a good idea of having a newborn and how to care for them I appreciated the ease of read, diagrams and pictures I would absolutely recommend based on the facts alone. The issue for me are the subtexts in the middle of the pages While I read on a particular subject, I turn the page to finish it off and then have to go back to read the offside subtexts Really [...]

  5. Got this for my daughter when she had her first baby She has found it very helpful, a good reference book rather than something you read all the way through You can look up the topic that interests you and it is all in there Just about anything you can think of to ask about what is happening with your baby I had the same book way back in the day and I knew this was an excellent guide for a new parent This edition is updated with current information Highly recommended.

  6. This might as well be called the Baby Bible It is awesome It takes you step by step through every month of your babies life Every question I could possibly have has been answered within this book I enjoy reading it while my baby is napping, sometimes I skip ahead a month or two to find out what new milestones to expect Being able to know which milestones are ahead is great, because then I can prepare the next activities and necessities for my babies growth I was able to lower my crib just in tim [...]

  7. This is a great read for new parents I m still following along with it since my baby isn t a year old yet and it covers almost all my inquiries From safety don t skip this and assume you know it all already there s always something you ll overlook , to skin conditions, to Breastfeeding tips, etc The only thing I was unable to find was a part covering sleep regression I realize it s a book, not an encyclopedia so it can t cover everything But for that reason I decided to knock off a star since it [...]

  8. This book has been a blessing for me I am starting over being a new mom again after 18 years since my last pregnancy and it has eased my anxiety with how much things have changed over the years Great book

  9. A good book but very American and the writing style jars a bit However, it covers most things in detail I do sometimes, look something up in the index and it isn t there and I think that s odd but I suppose a book can t cover every eventuality.I have two books, this one and The Babycare Bible, between them and the web, I think everything is covered and an authoritative book is better than a lot of the gossip, misinformed chat rubbish that I come across on the web Worth buying this book from at a [...]

  10. This is a Good, informative book Just be aware that this is a very American version with lots of reference to services we don t have in this country.
