  1. I m so annoyed Decided to purchase this book even thou it was 10 because I really liked the other 3 I read from this author which were only 7 Im only on chapter 14 but I m thinking about giving up on it because I cannot stand that silly main character If I thought one of the other people in the book would come along and shove her smart ass off that stupid motorcycle and send her tough skinny girl ass back to jail I would continue reading Oh well, you win you lose.

  2. Starts with a bit of a Patty Hearst vibe Mace Perry was a cop on the rise in the Washington DC PD until she was kidnapped, drugged, forced to participate in crimes, and then framed and sent to jail Fortunately, her older sister is the PD chief of police and orchestrated her early release Her sister just wants her to stay out of trouble, but Mace is hell bent on exonerating herself. When a young lawyer at a moderate sized law firm discovers a colleague dead and stuffed in a refrigerator, Mace insi [...]

  3. This is non series Baldacci suspense novel. If you are familiar with Baldacci, this avoids some of the continuing story aspects of series novels. As with many Baldacci s, it is ultimately about very bad behavior in very high places. If you are not familiar with Baldacci, this is a page turner You can expect, at some point, to feel strongly impelled to Keep On Reading rather than putting it down to resume later. And it is a very good page turner.

  4. I have read all of David s books some three and four times and love them But while writing is still very good, I did not like ANY of the people They did not seem real or reasonable More King and Maxwell No Mace, she is unreal Actually nasty With K M we find their feelings, not so with mace At least not real ones.

  5. Some how I missed this book in my quest to read every Baldacci book in the order they were written I am very glad I discovered it Lots of suspenseful action and Baldacci does a good job of creating and describing his characters so you can visualize each one Great book Worth every page turned

  6. Two sisters both police, well at one time were, and a lawyer too, get involve in a murder, and it get going from there, as I said at times it s a little boring then pick up real fast so you want to keep going, though the ending was a little connie but if you a David Baldacci fan you will enjoy it, give it a try.

  7. David Baldacci is one of my favorite authors True Blue is one of his earlier books and I just had to read it again Great book to show how some cops have problems just like everyone else.

  8. Could not put it down Baldacci does it again Fast paced, full of suspense and loved the characters Mace is definitely a force to recon with and I love her style Especially liked the humanitarian touch with the billionaire wanting to help the less fortunate.Am anxiously awaiting another Memory Man book Read Baldacci years ago and was hookedhad not read anything by him until the memory man series and now I am a frequent flyer

  9. I normally like Baldacci, but this was terrible A most unlikeable heroine that any self respecting young man like the young lawyer would be running a mile from with her smart mouth and high opinion of herself I like strong independent women too, but I d have run a mile from her A most unconvincing plot, no real characterisation, and a string of silly adventures designed, I m sure, to show off the abilities of the young female cop ex con.At the end, she s behaving like a member of Seal Team Six, [...]

  10. Ok sort of book felt it dragged quite a bit main character was a bit of a pain at times did wonder if this was a David Baldacci book as I m never wanting his books to get on with telling the story but with this one I was just wanting it to finish I know he can write better novels than this
